ultrasound

Finally we got another picture of Veronica. She was very cooperative at the ultrasound appointment. Her sister, however was very busy and didn't want to have her picture taken today. SO they are both looking very healthy. Veronica is now 2lbs 13oz, and Betty is a healthy 3lbs 8oz. They are both starting to get ready for their entry to the world with both their heads down. SO the pain I have been having in my right side is not Betty's head like I thought it is her butt. Hopefully it doesn't get to big.

girls clothing

Another knit sweater for the girls. I am addicted to making little things, they knit up so fast. Poor Ewan has only got a knit hat so far. I guess I will soon have to make him a sweater too.

These are my first attempt at sewing cloths for the girls. I think they are so cute and also were very easy to make.

Newspaper

Ewan is very happy to have Dad home for a few days. He loves to spend time with him reading the paper at breakfast time.

knitting projects

Some more knitting projects done. A sweater for the girls and a hat for Ewan. The first hat i made Ewan was a little small so I had to make the next size up. Hope it still fits next year.

The slide

Ewan also loves the slide. Once at the bottom he turns around and tries to climb back up the slide.

Ewan and Mark

Mark took Ewan to the park to feed the ducks. Ewan is starting to get the idea of throwing the bread for the ducks. However, after he throws it he likes to chase after it and try to pick it up again. Or he just pulls the bread apart into little pieces too small for even the ducks.

Crowded

The car has gotten a little crowded, we weren't sure that 3 car seats would fit in the back of the matrix. But there it is crowded but possible. This is fantastic because I love my matrix and did not want to have to get a bigger vehicle (VAN). I don't think there will be any long car trips in our future.

We have also started to move the studio downstairs to make a room for the girls. It looks great we are just waiting on the crib. I will post some pics of it when it is finished, hopefully in the next few weeks.

So between Bonnie and myself we seem to have gone a little out of control on the clothing for the girls. Bonnie has been to Cribs to bibs and bought just a 'few' things for the girls and Ewan. I have been to Frenchy's this week and found lots of things. I also went to the POMBA sale and bought lots of summer clothing for the girls. They will be the best dressed kids I am sure. I am so happy to have found the joy of buying used clothing for the kids. It just means that I will have money left over for Jeff and I, and I can laundry less often, between all the outfits and that big king size washer. Of course I may need a longer cloths line. Just one full load in the new washer takes up the whole line.

Nose picking

Ewan found his nostrils today. We are finding it very hard to tell him to stop without laughing.

Belly measurement

I am almost 29weeks and it looks like I am almost 45

inches around. Very scary, still lots of weeks left of growing I hope.

Lots of Help

Over the last few days Jeff has emptied out my studio. We are starting to make room for Betty and Veronica. Here are some pictures of Jeff and Ewan fixing the dresser for the girls room. Ewan is a very good helper.

Hair cut

We took Ewan to have his haircut at SkyBox. Ewan loved that there was hockey pictures and jerseys on all the walls. Of course this is a picture of Ewan watching some baseball on TV. A quiet moment amongst all the screaming.

This is how Ewan spent most of the haircut. Not a very happy customer.

I always seem to get the pictures put in the wrong order. So the last pic is of Ewan pre haircut. Getting a little out of control.

Airport

Ewan is very good to measure things. Here he is checking the size of floor tiles at the Halifax airport.

Here are some pictures of Ewan visiting his great grandfather at the airport over the Easter weekend. Bob was on his way back to Florida, hope the weather is as nice there as it has been here this week.

Ultra sound

Yesterday we went for an ultrasound of the girls. Things are looking very good. The girls are healthy and growing. Yesterday at 28weeks, Betty is now 2lbs10oz and Veronica is 2lbs. We were able to see them moving around a lot, making it impossible to get any pictures this week. Veronica has turned herself around, (what a good girl), she is no longer breech, she has her head down on my bladder. Which explains the frequent trip to the bathroom for me. Betty is still hanging out on the right side kind of across the top.

The Easter Bunny

We took Ewan to Alderney Landing to see the Easter Bunny and check out the market.
We came home with some flowers and fresh bread. Ewan was a little scared of the Easter Bunny, even with Jeff between them Ewan still cried a little.

Belly

The belly growth continues. It looks to me like it is growing at about an inch a week or a little less.

Working

My mom and dad are here for the Easter holiday. I put my dad to work right away building a gate for the back deck. I put Master Ewan in charge of the project. He seemed to do a good job until the saw came out. All the noise scared him a little, and he had to be demoted from forman and he came inside to keep me company instead.

The swing

Jeff put up Ewan's swing yesterday. Ewan was so excited to be in it, he giggled the whole time.

New hat

Another knitting project finished. This is the first cable knit I have ever done. I am so proud of myself. Ewan seem to like it too.
