Just thought I would let everyone know that we are on vacation for the next 2 weeks. I will do my best to update the blog periodically if I can find Internet access.
Quinn was to the doctor this week and is doing well. She is 8lbs 11oz. She is trying to smile, still very random so I haven't been able to get a picture.
Ewan was also weighed at the doctor this week, he is 26lbs 4oz. He is getting to be a big boy.

I really wanted to share these with everyone even though it is very hard to do at this time. These are the professional maternity photos I had taken on the afternoon of May 19th. These pictures are so precious to us because it is the last day that the girls were together and safe. Thankyou to Joe and Tara at PURE IMAGES in the MicMac mall for taking these beautiful pictures for us.

Too Hot

It was 29 degrees inside the house at 8pm last night. Here is the family trying to get out of the heat in the basement.

Another day at the Pool

I will eventually get a picture of a full smile.

Brody and Mia

Thanks to the Frasers for putting up with us for the entire day. We had a great time at the pool.

Some video of Ewan showing us how he can turn his water table into a pool. I guess it's time to get him a real one.

Here is a picture of all the new clothing I got for the kids at Frenchy's yesterday. The kids didn't need any new clothes, but I find the experience very therapeutic.
I think we need to get Ewan a little pool. He was standing in his water table so we had to take it away. This was the only thing I had. He still had fun.

Too hot for the princess.

Quinn has started to smile. This is the closest I have come to getting a picture of it.

Here is a poem that was shared with me in a berevement support group.
I thought I would share it with everyone.

Remembering
Go ahead and mention my child,
The one that died, you know.
Don't worry about hurting me further
The depth of my pain doesn't show.
Don't worry about making me cry
I'm already crying inside
Help me heal by releasing
The tears that I try to hide.
I'm hurt when you just keep silent,
Pretending it doesn't exist.
I'd rather you mention my child
Knowing that she has been missed.
You ask me how I'm doing,
I say "pretty good" or "fine"
But healing is something on going
I feel it will take a lifetime.

Ewan giving Quinn a good night kiss.

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

We had a great visit with Susan, Lindsay and Shane yesterday. Of course I didn't get any othere pictures. maybe next time. This was the first time I had packed the kids up and took them both out myself. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. From wake up to breakfast then to the car it took us 1 hr and 30 min.
Sleeping beauty.

She noticed her mobile for the first time today.

Our little man, Ewan, using his toy bin as a hat.

A little update on the running.

I am still running 3 days a week. This week I am up to 16min total of running. 4min run with 1 min walk 4 times. Well on my way to being a "runner"

Quinn enjoyed some time with Jeff"s parents and sister. Granddad said she had a big smile for him....but we weren't quick enough with the camera to catch it.

The Kiss

Ewan loves his sister so much. He is always wanting to hold her and give her kisses, he is very gentle for such a young boy.

Snack

Ewan enjoying a frozen yogurt snack out on the deck today. This is a very messy snack reserved for nice days when he can have it outside.
