Pictures to follow

I want to start by saying I forgot my camera. So I am waiting for the pictures to be emailed to me.


On Friday Ewan and I had the pleasure and honour of meeting Sheree Fitch. She is the author of one of Ewan's favorite books, Sleeping Dragons all Around. Ewan has read this book so many times that he (and Jeff too) can recite many of the passages. Laura invited us to her school where Sheree was a guest speaker for the day. We had such a great time. Ewan read Sleeping Dragons all Around with Laura to her students. He swept the class room for her ( Ewan loves to sweep) and was mauled by all the students. I heard many of the girls say "He is soooo cute."

Then on our way to lunch I saw Sheree go into the staff room. I told Laura and she took us in to meet her. She picked up Ewan and he gave her a kiss. We had a great conversation with her. I was dancing on the inside the whole time. Then Sheree came to TimHortons for coffee with us. She drove with us in my car.... so exciting.

After lunch we went to the gym with Laura's class to see Sheree give the most wonderful talk. Ewan was a little tired by now because it was nap time, but he did well for a very tired boy. He listened to the stories most of the time but was frequently distracted by storage room where he found balls and hockey sticks. At the end of the presentation she signed all the books I brought with me. She really is a wonderful women and I could listen to her talk all day.

I only cried once when I was thinking I wished Quinn and Ella could have been there too. But I don't think anyone else noticed. I am sure that Quinn will get her chance to meet her someday too.
