Ultra sound

Well here we are at 32 weeks. Yes I am still prego. I know that I should be happy that all is still going well, but I must admit, I want these babies out. I have become terribly uncomfortable over the last week and have been put on further restrictions for activity. This has made me very irritable. I am sure it has also made those around me cranky. I am sure that someday in the future I will look back and wish I could have a day of lying around on the couch and have someone waiting on me, but for now I am tired and would like things to get back to normal. Whatever that may be with three small children at home.

Well enough of me complaining. I had an Ultrasound this morning and things are looking very good. The girls are both healthy and growing well. Hooray for Betty, she had made it to 4lbs 3oz. Her sister is still a little smaller but is still growing well at 3lbs 2oz. So together they now weigh more than Ewan did when he was born. I will not have to have another Ultrasound until the 25th of May. So I will just sit here and wait.

Outside

We were all happy to get outside for a little yesterday afternoon. After being stuck inside with all the rain the last few days, we were all going a little crazy. Ewan loves his swing, he has finally started to use the baby sign for swing. We are so proud of him.
Picking all the weeds in the yard. Seems to be a big job this year. Lots of dandelions, too bad Ewan doesn't pull them out by the roots. He just pulls off the tops.

Belly measurement

Well it looks to me like my belly is starting to get a little smaller. The girls are starting to change position and I think this is the reason that the growth outwards seems to have slowed.

Busy day

We were so happy to have visitors today. Great Aunt Wanda, Great Grandma Linda and Great Uncle Gillis were here in time to see Ewan wake from his nap. He was a little shy at first but soon warmed up to everyone.
Ewan and Great Grandma Linda having a snuggle on the couch.

Gillis and Ewan checking out the potato heads. This is Ewan's favorite toy right now.

Melissa and Keegan were over this afternoon for a visit. Ewan is starting to be very interested in the 'baby'. Hopefully he will be as good with his sisters as he is with Keegan.

I am home

Here is a pic of Ewan visiting me in hospital yesterday. We are very happy to say that I am home now still waiting for babies to come. It would be great if they would stay put for a few more weeks. I will continue to be on bedrest and just wait. I am sure it will not be long now.

Update

Hey everyone, this is Jeff guest blogging as Natalie has been admitted to the hospital with pre-term labour. Don't worry...everything is ok right now. She has been having severe lower back pain since Sunday night and went to her MD yesterday. We went to the early labour clinic where they did a swab that was postitive for a protien or hormone (I can't remember which...febofibro..something, something, something). Anyway this means that there is a better than 50/50 chance she would go into full labour within the next 2 weeks. She had her first dose of steroids last night and the second is due tonight. On a positive note, her contractions have slowed and there haven't been any changes to her cervix.

I will do my best to keep this updated, but hopefully she may be able to come home tomorrow.

A few pics of Ewan

Ewan has been giving out lots of hugs these last few days. Mostly to Dad.
A new outfit Ewan got for his birthday from his great aunt Wanda. Way cool.

Ewan playing with his new car mat. I bought the panel to make it when he was first born and have only just gotten around to finishing it.
