Sweater

My first knit baby sweater.

Snow Day

Ewan and Jeff were out shovelling the driveway this morning. Hard to believe it was so nice on the weekend. Hopefully the snow won't last long.

Yesterdays outing

More ducks. Jeff took Ewan to Shubie park to see the ducks and dogs. We also found that Ewan loves the runners in the park. He was pointing and yelling at them as they ran by. I think he was looking for Laura, haha.

Ewan was down for a visit with his great grandparents tonight. He loves to go and play with the Manny's toy truck. He also likes to watch out the window at the cars on Main street.

Ultra Sound

Today we had an ultrasound appointment and got some really great news. The girls are doing really well. They are doing so well that the doctor is now optimistic that they will be born closer to June. The fluid has begun to stabilize between the two and they are no longer considered to have Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. We will still be watched closely to make sure that they stay healthy and don't go back into stage one of TTTS. I am still on bedrest and drinking the boost drinks (very gross) to help the babies grow.

Veronica is now 1lb9oz and Betty is 1lb12oz.

Ducks

Jeff and I took Ewan to Sullivans Pond this morning to see the ducks and swans. He was shaking with excitement when he saw all the swans.

Lots of pictures of the ducks.

In with the new

The new washer and dryer arrived yesterday at 8am. We were still in our PJs as we watched them move in the new appliances. Jeff set them up right away and they are now providing much entertainment for us all.

Cookies

Well the pictures have gotten in here in the wrong order. Anyway Gigi and Ewan made some chocolate chip cookies last night, and the princess enjoyed the first taste test lying on the couch. Delicious.

Belly measurement

Well another week has gone by since I last measured my belly. It looks like it has grown a little more, 3/4 of an inch.

Out with the old

Ewan is overseeing the removal of the old washer and dryer. The new Kenmore washer and dryer will be here tomorrow. I never thought I would be excited about new appliances. Check in tomorrow for a look at the new washer and dryer in action.

Strawberry

Ewan is trying Strawberries for the first time. I don't think he likes them very much at all. He did keep putting it in his mouth over and over and then pulling it out and making these very funny faces. He eventually abandoned it on the floor for the strawberries and yogurt I was eating. Funny he seemed to like my strawberries just fine.

The King

When I got up this morning I found that I may have lost my position. Ewan loves to wear the crown. I guess he has always been the KING.
I was lucky enough to have a Doctors appointment today and found out that I am in fact supposed to be continuing my bed rest and Princess status. So I will allow Ewan to borough my crown from time to time. (the crown was made by Ewan's Gigi, I think she will be making him one of his own)
The Doctor was checking mostly on me today. Blood pressure, weight and so on. Things are still looking good for me. I have only gained 15lbs so far. Much better than what I gained with Ewan.
I will have another Ultrasound for the girls on Monday.

Princess

My mom is here for the week to take care of us. She made me this hat, just so everyone knows that I am the princess. (per doctors orders, of course)

Some Good News

Ewan is very excited:
We had an ultrasound this morning. His sisters still look healthy. We are now at 25 weeks and are well on our way to making the 30 week mark. The Dr we saw today was very optimistic that the girls would make it to 30 weeks and that we would likely not need to have a surgery in Toronto.

Bedtime

Ewan spending some quality time with his little sisters. He is getting to be a very snuggly boy at bedtime.

Quack, Quack

Ewan loves books and especially anything with a duck on it. He likes to make the duck sounds.
Jeff took him to Shubie park to see his first real ducks. We were surprised that he recognized the birds as ducks right away because they don't look like his cartoon ducks from the books at all. Can't wait for the spring ducklings.

Hockey

Ewan loves to play hockey. He got some hockey sticks and a ball for his birthday and is always carrying them around. He also recognizes hockey in pictures and on TV, and will say "hoc" when he wants to play or sees something hockey. Today Jeff has him decked out in his Toronto jersey.

Belly Measurement

Well here is this weeks belly measurement. It looks to me like I have grown a little more than half and inch. It feels like a lot more though.

ultrasound

Here are some new pictures of the girls. They are still growing and things are looking about the same. Betty is now 1lb8oz, and her sister Veronica is now 1lb1oz.
We will just keep praying and waiting for their safe arrival. The next Ultrasound will be next Wednesday.
